PRODUCT OVERVIEW: Wink Frozen Dessert

Don’t buy Wink Frozen Dessert without reading this review. This vegan, fat- and sugar-free diet food bends two enthusiastic thumbs and eight fingers.

Unfortunately, Wink Frozen dessert is classified as food. I had half a liter of their dark chocolate last night. When I looked at the list of ingredients, the only two ingredients that were recognized as “food” were cocoa powder and ground flaxseed. The other ingredients are inulin, pea protein, guar gum, stevia and monk’s fruit extracts, and a substance called ‘natural fragrances’. Note that “natural flavors” is a phrase for small ingredients that the food manufacturer is not required to disclose or list. Neotame, a potent excitotoxin belonging to the same family of artificial sweeteners as aspartame, is often considered a ‘natural flavor’. Neotame will definitely be needed for Wink to be delicious, as stevia and monk fruit extracts are not so sweet.

In terms of taste, it could be Wink Frozen dessert – the worst thing I’ve ever had in my mouth. The look and texture is similar to sherbet, but it is not satisfied with sherbet. The Dark Chocolate sample I tested had almost no chocolate taste. Yes, the original taste was mildly chocolate, but after a second or two it turned into something that tasted metallic, unpleasant, and unrecognizable. I could add a flavor I would like to cultivate. Immediately after the meal, I felt a headache around the incisors and mild abdominal pain.

In terms of nutritional value, one whole pint is only 100 calories, zero grams / calorie from fat or sugar and no dairy products. What prompted me will not have a sugar-free dessert with only 100 calories. I should know better than expect to get something out of nothing. Many Wink marketing images contain fruit, nuts and coconut chips, and these additives are absolutely necessary for this product to be delicious. Definitely easier, cheaper and tastier to make at home without sugar without sherbet. Then you can also control the ingredients.

Finally, the price of Wink Frozen Dessert is amazing. Each pint is $ 8, and Wink requires you to purchase 4 pints, which is $ 32. Shipping is another $ 9.99. Even with 1 pint of free discounts for a new buyer, the total cost was $ 33.99, which I think was the money thrown in the toilet.
